In my kitchen, sanity is non-existent, so I guess it’s safe to say that I’ve already gone nuts. But after checking out these recipes, I have a feeling you’ll go a little nuts too, but in a good way :).

The great thing about nuts is that they’re perfect in any dish, from the sweet to the savory. They’ll add texture to your salad and aesthetic appeal to your fancy desserts… or even veggie side dishes. Need a way to get the family to eat more greens? InspiredBites Spinach with Raisins and Pine Nuts will do the trick. I’ve made an adapted version of this recipe and enjoyed it.

Fall is in the air and pretty soon we’ll even be roasting chestnuts. But here’s a nice summer/fall transition recipe, Carla’s Spiced Nuts with Sugared Bacon is the treat to serve as an appetizer for your dinner guests. You could even take these to the ball game, forget the peanuts and Cracker Jacks!

Gizmar’s Chili recipe will knock your socks off, not just because it’s got a kick to it… this is an original recipe, if I ever saw one. What could make a bowl of chili better? Oh, maybe a handful of cashews! Check out gizmar’s Nuts to You Vegetarian Chili!
