Ginger Gelato Sandwiches with Orange Oatmeal Cookies
Posted in Recipes by sophie
You won’t be chasing the ice cream truck for ice cream sandwiches anymore, especially after you try Aggie’s Ginger Gelato Sandwiches with Orange Oatmeal Cookies! Using two different recipes for inspiration, Aggie came up with a frozen dessert that’s made completely from scratch! Yes, she even made the gelato using freshly grated ginger root!
These ice cream sandwiches will be the highlight of your holiday party! Serve them next to the gingerbread men and you’ll see that they no longer have the urge to run away ;)…that’s because your guests will be too busy gobbling up the Ginger Gelato Sandwiches with Orange Oatmeal Cookies instead of the little guys on the other cookie plate!
The flavors are perfect for the season, the warmth of the ginger will complement the cool and creamy gelato. The Orange Oatmeal Cookies also deserve some attention. Instead of getting their golden hue from molasses, like other oatmeal cookies, Aggie adds maple syrup to her batch; it gives them that extra something special that makes them a little (or a lot!) more addicting. Oh yes, even Santa will approve of these and other treats that come from Aggie’s Kitchen ;).
