We’ve already had it ingrained into our little heads that breakfast is the most important meal of the day! It’ll jump-start your metabolism and fuel your busy brain to tackle a stressful day victoriously. But you’ve already heard this and now you’re addicted to breakfast foods; you even sneak in a few pancakes right before going to bed. Ok, so maybe I’m referring to myself when I say you, but I know Lynn from Izzy Eats probably feels the same way I do!

Lynn won’t let the fact that there isn’t a slice of bread in the house deter her from preparing a yummy breakfast for her kiddos. She’s a dedicated mama that bakes up tasty morsels in the wee hours of the morning, then she turns around and uses those same tasty morsels to prepare an after-dinner dessert. Talk about meeting needs creatively!

Her Blueberry Buttermilk Brown Sugar Scones pack a mouthful of alliterative fun and flavor. Completely homemade, she served up her scones for breakfast then incorporated them into her dessert recipe later on in the day. So what did she do? Inspired by shortcakes, Lynn sandwiched macerated berries and honey whipped cream between the two slices of her berry scones. It’s easy to see why you’d enjoy the scones on their own, too; when a bundle of blueberry goodness gets sprinkled with cinnamon sugar, there is a satisfying baked good to be had!
