I especially like that it actually lets you print recipes out, which is a feature that most amateur food blogs don’t have. They actually featured my calzone recipe recently on the site’s blog, “The Back Burner” — check it out here [...]

Swiss Chard, Sausage, and Sun Dried Tomato Calzones
Posted in Recipes by sophie
Meredith has turned her kitchen into a cooking lab, where she comes up with recipes that only have pleasant side effects. What are they? The tendency to over salivate when presented one of her creations, or the need to collect more and more recipes from her blog The Cooking Lab. You’ll certainly want more of her Swiss Chard, Sausage, and Sun Dried Tomato Calzones.
She makes them using ingredients that are already addicting on their own, like freshly grated parmesan and mozzarella cheese. The earthy flavor of the chard and the savoriness of the sausage are further enhanced by the complex taste of sun dried tomatoes. I like what Meredith has to say, that “the calzone is a meal in itself.” I can’t argue with that one, and I’m definitely liking the easy-to-pack aspect of her calzones.
Take one of these for lunch instead of a boring sandwich and your taste buds will thank you and even ask for seconds!
