When Bren and her foodie friend Don met up to finally meet face-to-face, the two didn’t settle on a nice simple dinner…. no, they feasted! Sangria, fish tacos, 4 different homemade salsas (wow!), beans, beans, beans, and Bren’s strawberry flan! But what else would you expect from two food blogging fanatics? Of course Don couldn’t make just one salsa to impress his new friend, and of course Bren couldn’t just make traditional flan. She went all out, not only to impress her friend, but to enter into the good graces of Don’s beautiful wife. This tasty dessert has simple ingredients, but it is definitely a labor of love; taking ninety minutes to bake and almost ten hours to refrigerate!
